Note: They're open to different types of possibilities. Optimal profile would be someone that has some good industrial general pump experience that's on the rise in their career. Somewhere around 10-15 years of total experience most likely.

Examples of types of work these pumps would do: Water transfer, irrigation, chemical and fluid transfer, HVAC systems, sprinkler heads

Looking for a "quarterback" that can help call the shots. They do 75% of their business through distributors.

Great family feel type of company. Take pride in taking care of their employees. Very low turnover. The general pump sales are about 5% of their total revenue. Robby believes they can get that to 15-20%. Has never really had someone focused on selling that side of the business. Is a great opportunity for the right person.

Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Leader to expand our presence in the general pump market. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with industrial clients across a defined territory. The role focuses on lower horsepower pump solutions and requires a strong understanding of industrial applications and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the general pump segment
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners
Conduct on-site client visits to assess needs, present solutions, and close deals
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, engineering, service) to ensure successful project delivery
Track pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and report on performance metrics
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine approach

Qualifications:

5+ years of sales experience in pumps, industrial equipment, or related mechanical products
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share
Strong understanding of industrial sales cycles and customer buying processes
Ability to operate independently while managing a regional territory
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Preferred:

Experience with general pump applications (non-oil & gas focus)
Existing network within industrial sectors such as manufacturing, water treatment, or facilities operations

Significant growth in general pump revenue as a percentage of total business
Expansion into new accounts and markets
