Signed agreement for 25% of the base salary, net 30, 90 day replacement

Base salary can be from $75k-$110k w/ tiered commission starting at 15% and maxing out in the 30s on the highest tier of their plan. Interested in candidates in SoCal, Pheonix, AZ, Dallas, TX, Austin TX, Houston, TX, NYC, and potentially Utah.

-DZ Solutions is a VAR that specializes in Infrastructure, Storage, Networking etc.

-They sell hardware first and software if it is connected to the hardware they are selling.

-Additionally they do pro-services for some fortune-500 companies. They have strong technical resources and engineers when it comes to routers, switches, storage, servers, etc.

-Some major OEM's they work with would be Dell, Cisco, and Palo Alto

-Traditionally they hire younger folks with 1-3 years of experience from a VAR or OEM, but this quarter he would really like to bring on someone that has more experience and a book that they can bring with them.

-Not sure what they would do for non-solicits or non-competes, going to get more clarification on that as we move forward.

-Right now he has 5 reps on his team and the company does around $20m annually

-Commission structures vary per rep, depends on salary they with commissions. They are flexible

-He told me commission typically average out to be around 18%-20% unless you are blowing it out of the water

-Is currently working with a recruiter that his boss knows but they haven't really delivered. He said he interviewed 2 that were technology sales but not necessarily hardware and VAR sales

-Told me he would take people from OEM's or VAR's

they do a lot of dell, storage, networking, security, medium to large size customers
prefers reps coming out of Dell, open to partners as well if they're selling a lot of Dell
most important point is that they have relationships with Dell reps since they're the ones giving them leads. He prefers formal Dell reps instead since they can easily work with previous colleagues instead
also folks coming out of a partner will need to have these relationships with OEM reps instead of having one or two big customers since those clients may be tough to bring over or take a long time
all his reps are in SoCal.
wants to bring in folks from Texas (high priority since Dell HQ is in Texas), AZ, UT, CO
someone who has 4-5 yrs of experience at Dell, has gone up the ranks from training, inside and now outside
or a partner but have 5-10 yrs of experience. Maybe even a mix of the two previously worked at Dell, now partner side, and wants to continue working at a partner
tech resources are in SoCal, also some in Las Vegas, NY, work with a lot of contractors who can come in on calls, etc.
they have customers majority in SoCal but also NY, East Coast, Texas
looking for someone who is self sufficient, a lot of meetings are virtual
Tom and Alex are hands on so they'll meet with the rep wherever they're based out of and help out, wont be alone
open for a rep who is based in Texas but is selling into California. They wouldn't mind them working with California customers but would want them to work with clients in Texas as well
90% net new, 10% smaller or newer accounts
idea would be building their own book of business
they work with enterprise clients like Warner Bros, Walt Disney, Fortune 500, majority sitting between 250-1k, 2k-3k employees, all corporate or commercial, like media & entertainment, manufacturing, retail, ecommerce. Not a lot of SLED or healthcare, tougher to break into
they have given reps 6month - 1 year draws to help ramp up
but ideally someone who can pay for themselves in the first 6-9 months, find new run rater, 50k-250k deals, would be great if they can close huge deals as well but understands that will take time and not often
80-100k base, 1-2 years reps are typically at 250-300k OTE
quarterly GP goals and incentives, they get a bonus if they hit certain metrics
typcally goal is $1 million in GP
a lot of professional services, hardware (1), software (2), servers, storage, firewall, networking, Dell, Arista, Palo Alto, etc.
long term goal (2-3 years), have a couple reps in each market, Southwest, Texas, East Coast, Mountain West, and have someone to manage them
Alex takes the first call or two, then Tom (owner), then meet in person if possible
he's free later this week Thursday and Friday, will be leaving for two weeks next week for vacation and be back July 13th, is open to getting some interviews done before he heads out next week or hit the ground running on interview when he's back on the 13th
