Income Tax Associate
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Income Tax Associate to join a corporate tax department. This role is responsible for assisting with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, supporting the tax provision process, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
The Income Tax Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

● Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns and related payments
● Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740, including calculation of current and deferred tax provisions
● Conduct tax research and analysis on federal and state income tax matters
● Assist in preparing responses to tax authority notices and inquiries
● Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and maintain accurate tax records and documentation
● Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal teams to gather necessary information for tax compliance and planning
● Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and evaluate their potential impact
● Support special projects and process improvement initiatives within the tax function
Required Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● 1–3 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm
● Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and income tax principles
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications

● CPA certification or active CPA candidacy
● Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource or similar platforms)
● Experience in a large corporate or public accounting environment
● Familiarity with ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 48
