Job Description
Junior Accountant
About the Firm
Our client is a premier boutique advisory firm providing institutional-quality outsourced accounting, fund administration, and CFO services. The firm bridges the gap between high-level industry expertise and advanced technology, managing billions in assets for sophisticated private equity and development clients.
Why This Role Matters
As a Junior Accountant, you will serve as a foundational member of their client service teams. Working directly alongside CPAs and former Big 4 professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in complex accounting and institutional reporting. This role is an ideal "launchpad" for high-potential graduates looking to build a technical public-company skill set within a dynamic, private-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
●
General Ledger Management: Maintain daily transactions and inter-company postings for multiple client portfolios.
● AP/AR Oversight: Code invoices, process payments, and resolve variances with property managers and vendors.
● Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for operating, trust, and construction-loan accounts.
● Month-End Close Support: Assist Senior Accountants with accruals, depreciation, and WIP schedules to prepare trial balances and work-papers.
● Financial Reporting: Draft balance sheets, income statements, and partner capital statements; perform budget-vs-actual variance analyses.
● System Integrity: Utilize industry-leading ERP systems to maintain data accuracy and participate in automation projects.
● Compliance & Audit: Support the gathering of PBC items and maintain documentation for audit and lender requests.
What You’ll Bring
-
●
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (strong GPA preferred).
● Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience; internships within real estate or property management are highly valued.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). Exposure to real estate ERPs is a significant plus.
● Ambition: A desire to pursue CPA licensure; they provide the mentorship and resources to help you get there.
● Soft Skills: High attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and professional communication skills.
What They Offer
-
●
Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with company match.
● Professional Development: Generous PTO, and direct mentorship from Managing Directors (former Big 4 and CFOs).
● Growth Path: A structured career trajectory from Junior to Staff to Senior Accountant.
