Sales Account Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager to build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with customers. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned accounts, developing new business from existing clients, and identifying new sales opportunities.
The Sales Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, partners closely with internal teams, and ensures customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship management, and the ability to meet ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
● Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned customer accounts.
● Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
● Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
● Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts to meet or exceed sales quotas.
● Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize revenue and profitability.
● Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and objectives.
● Communicate progress on account initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
● Forecast and track key account metrics, including monthly, quarterly, and annual sales results.
● Prepare and maintain reports on account status and performance.
● Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to identify and grow opportunities within assigned territories.
● Assist with resolving client requests and managing issue escalations as needed.
● Travel occasionally as required to support customer relationships.
Qualifications
● Proven experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or similar role.
● Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
● Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar platforms.
● Demonstrated success delivering client-focused solutions and managing customer relationships.
● Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
● Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Experience with consultative or structured sales methodologies (e.g., Sandler) is a plus.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
