Director of Maintenance Operations
Position Summary
The Director of Maintenance Operations oversees commercial landscape maintenance operations across multiple branch locations. This leadership role is responsible for guiding Maintenance Supervisors and ensuring the efficient daily execution of services, including scheduling, routing, ticket management, fleet coordination, and preventative maintenance. The Director plays a critical role in delivering high-quality service, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting safety and quality standards across all maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead, mentor, and manage multiple Maintenance Supervisors across several branch locations.
● Oversee daily scheduling, routing, and service ticket management using Aspire or comparable landscape management software.
● Coordinate labor allocation, staffing levels, and daily operational priorities to meet service demands.
● Manage fleet coordination, including trucks, trailers, and landscape maintenance equipment.
● Implement and enforce preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
● Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance with internal mechanics and external vendors.
● Partner with Account Managers and operational leadership to address service issues and client needs.
● Enforce safety standards and support field audits, quality control, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance operations.
● Demonstrated leadership experience managing supervisors and field crews.
● Strong working knowledge of Aspire or similar landscape management and scheduling platforms.
● Experience with fleet management and preventative maintenance programs.
● Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
