General Description:The Business Developer, Arbor Management Division, plays a key role in the overall organizational structure of the division. This position is responsible for building a customer base with new and existing clients, while identifying prospective customers and serving as the initial contact to determine viability and desirability as a targeted account. The Business Developer’s maximum performance objectives are to facilitate revenue growth, increase customer retention and market share, cross sell, represent LDI in professional trade associations, identify new markets, conduct competitive and market intelligence, maintain profitability at set target levels, and maintain a positive customer satisfaction. </ul> Requirements Profile:· 3-5 years of business development experience· Self-starter, motivated to meet sales goals with minimum supervision· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Proven track record in business development, preferably within arbor care or landscape industry· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook applications, as well as software systems used to track and manage business development activities and results· Problem-solving ability· Creative in developing and implementing “outside-the-box” business development approaches and solutions· Willing to work “in the field,” with regular local driving and occasional travel; requires valid driver’s license
