Loan Closer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Loan Closer to join a growing institutional private lending firm that provides business-purpose financing to real estate investors and developers. The company specializes in funding Rehab Bridge, DSCR Rental, and Ground-Up Construction loans for non-owner-occupied residential properties.
As a well-capitalized lender in an exciting growth phase, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational excellence and process development. The Loan Closer will play a key role in managing document preparation, coordination, and execution to ensure accurate and timely closings across all loan types.
Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate with internal teams (Processing, Underwriting, Accounting, Legal) and external partners (Title, Escrow, Brokers, Borrowers) to facilitate smooth and timely closings.
● Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
● Communicate file status, outstanding conditions, and expectations clearly with relevant parties.
● Review loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to document preparation.
● Prepare loan documents quickly and accurately, ensuring compliance with company and investor requirements.
● Review and approve estimated settlement statements.
● Balance wires for funding and verify all fees, points, and loan data for accuracy.
● Maintain accurate data in the loan origination system and ensure all applicable conditions are met.
● Identify and correct any documentation deficiencies.
● Review signed loan documents and confirm readiness for funding.
● Scan and deliver critical documents to investors and warehouse banks promptly.
● Manage the delivery of final and trailing documents to investors.
● Board funded loans for servicing.
● Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the closing process.
● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience
● High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
● Minimum of 3 years of loan document preparation or closing experience preferred.
● Experience in private money mortgage funding or non-prime mortgage post-closing strongly desired.
● Familiarity with commercial lending for single-family rental, multifamily, bridge (fix-and-flip), and new construction loans.
