Position Overview
The IT Administrator will oversee all aspects of the company’s IT operations — including hardware, software, networks, and data security. This individual will ensure reliable system performance, maintain secure access to resources, and provide responsive technical support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to balance hands-on support with long-term strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
● Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
● Manage company servers, cloud environments, and system backups.
● Oversee user accounts, access rights, and system permissions.
● Monitor and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) for optimal performance.
● Troubleshoot network connectivity and system performance issues.
● Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure consistent network reliability and uptime.
● Deploy, update, and manage company software, ensuring license compliance.
● Administer cloud-based productivity platforms such as Microsoft 365.
● Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
● Manage firewalls, antivirus tools, and endpoint protection systems.
● Conduct regular data backups, vulnerability assessments, and system audits.
● Provide first-line technical support for employees, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
● Maintain and track helpdesk requests to ensure timely resolution.
● Train and assist employees with technology tools and processes.
● Identify and implement process improvements to enhance IT efficiency and scalability.
● Assist in planning and executing technology upgrades or infrastructure projects.
● Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend relevant solutions to align with business goals.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
● 3–5 years of experience in IT administration, systems support, or network management.
● Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, networking protocols, and cloud-based systems.
● Strong understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments.
● Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and compliance best practices.
● Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Skills
● Experience working in a manufacturing or scaling business environment.
● Familiarity with VoIP systems, VPNs, and SSO platforms.
● Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Systems Administrator (MCSA).
