Job Title: Multifamily Underwriter Company OverviewWe are a well-capitalized, institutional private lender that provides real estate investors with business purpose financing on non-owner-occupied residential properties. Primarily focused on sourcing and funding DSCR Rental loans, we are currently in an exciting growth phase. Position SummaryThe Multifamily Underwriter is responsible for assessing various risks and ensuring strict adherence to lending guidelines pertaining to the Borrower, Sponsor / Guarantor, and Property. Loan Underwriting: Underwrite real estate lending transactions, including Multifamily DSCR Rental loans up to $10MM and 100 units.</li>

Financial Analysis: Analyze entity and guarantor financial information, evaluating both historical performance and future projections.</li>

Risk Assessment: Identify relevant business, market, and other commercial risks faced by the borrower; prepare comprehensive risk assessments and credit memos.</li>

Committee Interaction: Interact directly with the Credit Committee regarding Credit Policy and loan-level underwrites.</li>

Pipeline Management: Effectively manage a pipeline of loan underwrites and offer informed recommendations on loan approvals.</li>

Leadership &amp; Collaboration: Review, manage, and critique the work of Underwriting Support staff.</li>

Asset Class Expertise: Experience underwriting DSCR Rental loans, specifically including large multifamily properties of 10 to 100 units. Experience with affordable housing units is a plus.</li>
