Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our internal finance team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and assisting with budgeting and reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to work in a mission-driven and fast-paced legal environment.


Key Responsibilities

    ● Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries
    ● Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
    ● Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    ● Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
    ● Support budget preparation and ongoing expense tracking
    ● Work closely with the Controller and operations team on financial projects
    ● Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external reporting requirements
    ● Maintain organized and secure financial records for audits and legal compliance


Qualifications

    ● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
    ● 5+ years of experience in a general accounting role; legal industry experience is a plus
    ● Must be proficient with QuickBooks and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    ● Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
    ● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
